http://www.soapi.com/howto/redhat.htm This would let you upgrade a live, remote box, from say RH 7.1 to 8.0 (with tweaking, 9.0). I think this was originally posted in the rackshack forums, I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but looking at it I can say it would definitely work.
Something to keep in mind, its going to zap the whole rpm database, so if you have anything custom installed (say, PSA for example!) the rpm database wont know about it anymore. If the demand is there for it, I can put together an automated script to do the upgrade.
