I've been making considerable progress in the 2.6.19 kernel in the last 2 weeks. This
has probably been the most difficult release to date, based on the
the FC6 kernel design the 2.6.19 kernel does away with separate
uni/smp processor packages. This has simplified building kernels by
leaps and bounds, not to mention that this has cut building time down
from 4 hours to 1. New features in this release:
updated to grsec
2.1.10
x86_64 support
STEALTH and MATCH
flag support in netfilter
all sorts of build
environment optimizations that make me very happy
kernel modules are
signed with GPG (for LKM rootkit detection)
