Fedora Legacy shutting down Print E-mail
Written by scott

From www.fedoralegacy.org: "The current model for supporting maintenance distributions is being re-examined. In the meantime, we are unable to extend support to older Fedora Core releases as we had planned. As of now, Fedora Core 4 and earlier distributions are no longer being maintained.". Unless you're planning on maintaining your own updates, I highly recommend migrating to a supported platform, like CentOS or RHEL.

With the exception of the ASL channels, I will no longer be actively maintaining packages for rh9, FC2, FC3, or FC4 in the archive. That being said, the way I build packages is for the most part distribution independent, so I will continue to produce packages for those platforms. All that means is that if for some reason a package wont build on one of those distributions, I'm not going to put in any effort to fix it so it does.

I just had my server drive fail and reimaged in October. Now that FC4 is being dropped... how do I safely upgrade my 1and1 server to Centos?
