Due to lack of space, and maintenance overhead, I've dropped the [base] and [updates] mirrors for all distributions. Originally when I set up those channels, it was because there were no good archive sources for RHEL users without updates. With the rise of CentOS, this is no longer necessary. My appologies to everyone for the sudden departure of such a commonly used archive, normally I'd give more warning than this. For those of you oh RHEL3 or RHEL4 looking for a new source for updates, check out www.centos.org for more details.

Subject: What's the centos equivalent to the old Written by dinophp on 2006-11-29 07:37:35 Can't install mysql on psa 8/centos 3 because of: Package mysql-server needs libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4), this is not available. which used to come from your updates site; I'm having trouble finding the equivalent centos URL to add to my yum.conf
