I've finally completed revising the mysql 4.0.20 rpm (rh9 only at this point), this one should be compatible with PSA 6-7.1.2, and be upgrade friendly.
This is a complete rewrite, it is NOT based on the Mysql.com rpm, so as such for users running the older ART mysql rpm, you will have to manually remove that rpm, and then upgrade to the newer rpm.
example:
rpm -e MySQL-Max MySQL-server MySQL-client MySQL-shared-compat --nodeps
then upgrade to the newer rpm
yum install mysql-server mysql mysql-compat
The -compat library includes Mysql 3.23.58 client libraries for backwards compatibility.
