In the next few days the ART archive will be undergoing major changes to bring it into compliance with other 3rd party packagers. Specifically the [gamera] and [atomic-desktop] channels will be merging into the [atomic] channel. Notably this should simplify configurations going into the future, and because of these changes I've had to make major overhauls to Project Gamera, and the anti-spam suite for PSA. Once I complete the changeover, all ART archives should be compatible with 3rd party archives like Dag Wieers/rpmforge.net.
Except for project gamera users, these changes should for the most part be transparent. Additionally packages containing the .rf. extention (clamav) indicate that they are from the rpmforge.net project, and have been duplicated in the ART archive only for convienence.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

This latest release in the Atomic Secured Linux channel (Product Subscriptions) adds support for two new OS's, Fedora Core 1, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (3ES) as well as its clones, CentOS 3.3/3.4, Tao Linux, and Whitebox linux. In addition to updates to the kernel, and grsecurity.net patch, this release also adds support for Promise SX4 and SX8 RAID controllers.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

I'll be signing books at the LinuxWorld Expo in Boston on Tuesday Feb. 15th starting around 3:30pm at the Addison-Wesley booth (#915) in their "Meet the Authors" session. Stop by and say hi to the turtle. Bring me Gamera stuff or turtle plushies, and I'll put you on the credits page on the website. :P
Oh almost forgot, we've got the cover story "Stealth Firewalls" on Linuxworld Magazine this month: http://www.linuxworld.com/magazine/Write Comment (0 Comments) |

This is the initial rollout and testing phase of Atomic Secured Linux rpm's for Redhat 9. It's also the first attempt at making a paid channel access service, with the ultimate goal of separating commercial activity from ART to its own dedicated site, at atomicorp.com. At this time the system is rudimentary, only paypal payment is supported, and as we work out the kinks we'll expand both the granularity of subscriptions, support systems (bugtracking, forums, helpdesk), supported platforms, and merchant systems. Ultimately I plan on having several channels, focusing on more complex packages suites, in addition to the free channels like [atomic]. Sign up NowWrite Comment (0 Comments) |

Still working on cleaning this up, but for FC3 users Ive got the basics
in place. Yum 2.1 repo files are available here:
http://3es.atomicrocketturtle.com/yum/repos/
One bug Ive discovered is on some sw-soft rpms I cannot sign them with
my gpg key due to the architecture they were built on. So unfortunately
we're going to have to disable gpg checks on those archives until I can
find a solution.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Officially has been published, this is my first book, co-authored with my brother Mike. If you're looking for a great way to help support all the nifty stuff I've been doing here, check out the book, and buy copies for you and all your friends. The primary focus is on troubleshooting methods, and I think you'll all see some familiar scripts as well as a turtle reference or two. One thing that didnt make it into the book are all the aknowledgements and thank you's I wanted to put in. There are just way too many to list, but the short version: Open Source developers everwhere, and second, all the users that make this stuff so worthwhile.Write Comment (0 Comments) |
